AFORESTATION OF CAUVERY RIVER BANKS
The Cauvery river, a lifeline for 84 million people , was drying. To fight this, the most logical solution figured by a team of UN experts were to plant trees. We at Kalpavriksham helped fight for this cause by rallying and donating for this ambitious task taken up by the Isha Yoga Centre.
To help India through the vaccination crisis, We at Kalpavriksham helped nearly 2.3 lakh people get registered to take the vaccine. We and our 500+ volunteers helped the government estimate the number of vaccine shots needed .
COLLABORATION WITH PAWS THRISSUR
Stray animals had the lockdown just as hard as some people. Kalpavriksham helped ease this problem by donating food for stray dogs, sufficient to last for over a month in Thrissur district, Ensuring they don't perish due to something as grueling as starvation.
DEVICE DISTRIBUTION FOR ONLINE CLASSES
The lockdown was much needed, but an instant decision by the government and left the education industry helpless. Technological Devices were needed for online education, which few teachers and students didn’t have, Kalpavriksham helped around 100 students and teachers by distributing iPads which facilitated conducting and participating online classes by both teachers and students. This helped schools by making education accessible for everyone.
